Labour Market Imbalances DashboardThe dashboard shows seven key labour market characteristics based on the Labour Force Survey (LFS) and Job Vacancy and Wage Survey (JVWS) data:
At the top of the dashboard, select whether you want to view:
Data collection and reporting approaches differ between provinces and territories. As a result, most indicators in the territories view are presented using three-month averages, while others remain monthly.
Use the Labour Characteristic Measure dropdown on the right side of the dashboard to choose the indicator you want to view.
For example, you can switch from the imbalances ratio to the employment rate, vacancies, or unemployment rate.
You can select and view or compare locations in two ways.
Under Geography on the right side of the dashboard, click on a province name or colour in the legend.
When you click a province or territory, a menu will appear with options such as:
To compare multiple provinces or territories, hold Ctrl (or Command on Mac) on your keyboard while clicking additional provinces or territories.
You can also use the Geography dropdown menu on the right side of the dashboard to select one or more locations.
To clear selections and return to the default view, use the filter reset option if you used options 1 or 2.
You can change the time period shown in the chart using the Date Range filter on the right side of the dashboard.

Click on “Offered wage (average)” or “Paid wage (average)” to view one measure in more detail.
